Performing songs from the iconic duo's repertoire, including "Master of the House," "I Dreamed a Dream," "The American Dream," and more, an all-star lineup of special guests is sure to make this a superb night to remember.

More than 40 years have passed since Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg first crossed paths and started working together on the musicals Les Misérables and Miss Saigon, which would forever alter the history of musical theater.

In celebration of this duo, Do You Hear the People Sing? was launched in Shanghai Grand Theatre with Michael Ball and Lea Salonga holding the lead roles. Michael Ball and Lea Salonga then performed in Manila and Taipei. The concerts gave well-received performances at Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne in 2022.

Theatre Matters labels this concert as “A Historic Occasion in Musical Theatre.” Shanghai Morning Post calls it “an extraordinary and rare experience for musical lovers.” Lea Salonga herself says, “Working with Alain and Claude-Michel has been one of the greatest honours and privileges of my life. As collaborators, they’ve known me since I was 17 years old, and continuing to work together on this timeless and iconic music is a joy. Australian audiences are in for a very special show.”

This concert is the ultimate homage to Boublil & Schönberg's creative output. features favorites from Miss Saigon and Les Misérables as well as Martin Guerre, The Pirate Queen, and La Révolution Française. This the only celebration of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's work that the two marvels have ever approved.

Do You Hear the People Sing? includes well-known songs such as, of course, Do You Hear The People Sing, I Dreamed A Dream, Bring Him Home, The Last Night of the World, Master of the House, The Movie In My Mind, The American Dream, Woman, and One Day More.

The production has received praise in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The Australasian Premiere was held in 2013 at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, produced by Enda Markey (Defying Gravity, Blood Brothers). Taipei and Manila followed, with a special benefit concert in Manila raising AUD$750,000 to help rebuild the two hundred homes that Typhoon Yolanda had destroyed.
