This is Halloween, and Danny Elfman is making a scene! Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King! Feel the goosebumps prickle your skin as you relive the spine-chilling LEGEND of The Nightmare Before Christmas through our headlining act's LIVE score at the Hollywood Bowl. In celebration of the gothic musical's 30th Anniversary, the concert event will cover three nights in the last week of October, with a highly anticipated premiere on Friday the 27th.

Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman sprung into the mainstream as the lead vocalist and songwriter of Oingo Boingo, a new wave band that dominated the early eighties. However, he entered true pop culture prominence by scoring over a hundred productions in film, stage, and television, including twenty masterful collaborations with director Tim Burton.

An exceedingly accomplished artist, Elfman has received dozens of recognitions across the industry's most revered award-giving bodies, including a Grammy, two Emmys, and seven Saturn Awards for Best Music. Just last year, he was also bestowed the illustrious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Society of Composers & Lyricists.

"Elfman takes the audience beyond the pure entertainment value of the visual spectacle. He offers a sense of integrity and authenticity, clearly following his own muse and musical instinct."

Slipping back into his skeletal persona, the musician will perform songs from Tim Burton's most career-defining film, with Conductor John Mauceri at the podium. The stop-motion dark fantasy came out in 1993 to IMMENSE public and critical acclaim, featuring The King of Halloween Town's, Jack Skellington's, attempts at taking over the Christmas holiday. It received one nomination each from the Academy, Hugo, and Golden Globe Awards, with two steals from the Saturn Awards: Best Fantasy Film and Best Music. It also holds the crown spot in Rotten Tomatoes' top 25 list of Best Christmas Movies.

Early birds get the worm—we encourage audiences to participate in the plethora of pre-concert activities, from photo opps to costume contests to trick-or-treating stations!

"It's impossible to believe it has been thirty years since Tim Burton made our strange little musical. What a tremendous thrill it is to perform it live in concert again at the iconic Hollywood Bowl," Elfman said in an earlier press statement.

Southern California's foremost performance venue, the Hollywood Bowl, will host the composer's Halloween homecoming. Even from a distance, the amphitheater's shell dome inspires a thrilling grandiosity, which extends inside its historic walls. Within, audiences can enjoy Danny Elfman's skin-tingling performance to its fullest thanks to world-class acoustic fidelity and on-stage visual technology. So book your tickets now and celebrate thirty years of The Nightmare Before Christmas with us on Friday, October 27!
