Catch five-time Grammy winner Samara Joy’s silky smooth vocals, drummer Yussef Dayes’ cutting-edge jazz-funk beats, and Cimafunk’s high-energy performances featuring Afro-Cuban rhythms. Get ready for Robert Glasper’s R+R=NOW duo as they push the boundaries of jazz, and top off an incredible bill with the magic of Afrobeat jazz band Kokoroko!

The Blues comes out for a special evening as the Blue notes Jazz Festival arrives at the Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, June 13th, 2026. The gates open at 4:00 PM and the performances start at 6:00 PM. You will be there for the first night of this two-daylong festival of world-class jazz, R&B, soul and funk. Legendary emcee Arsenio Hall plus a lineup of headliners Patti LaBelle, Wyclef Jean and Gregory Porter, along with some fantastic supporting acts: Samara Joy, Yussef Dayes, Cimafunk, Robert Glasper presents R+R=NOW and Kokoroko!
The Godmother of Soul, Patti LaBelle, takes to the stage with renditions of “Lady Marmalade,” “If Only You Knew,” “New Attitude,” “Stir It Up,” and “On My Own.” Find out more about her newest album, 8065, which came out in 2024 – she’s still going strong! LaBelle has received two Grammy Awards: Best Female R&B Vocal Performance in 1992 for “Burnin” and Best Traditional R&B Performance in 1999 for Live! One night Only. She’s also been honored with induction into the Grammy Hall of Fame, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Apollo Theater Hall of Fame, and she’s sold over 50 million records in the USA.
Haitian rapper, producer and philanthropist Wyclef Jean brings reggae fusion and neo soul to the stage. You can expect to hear “Gone till November,” “Hips don’t Lie” (feat Shakira), “911” (feat Mary J Blige) and “Maria Maria” (feat Santana), which was written with Santana. Find out more about his latest solo album, Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee, which came out in 2017. Jean has won three Grammy Awards and he’s been nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He was also awarded a Grammy Hall of Fame Award on Santana’s Supernatural album.
Acclaimed jazz singer Gregory Porter will treat fans to his signature rich baritone voice. You can expect to hear many of his favorite songs, such as “Holding On,” “Liquid Spirit,” “Hey Laura,” and “No Love Dying.” Find out more about his newest album, All Rise, which came out in 2020. Porter has won two Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Album: for his album Liquid Spirit in 2014 and for his rendition of Take Me to the Alley in 2017.
Emerging jazz singer Samara Joy has a velvety interpretations of jazz standards. You can expect to hear versions of “Tight,” “Guess Who I Saw Today,” and “Nostalgia.” Find out more about her newest album, Portrait, which came out in 2024. Unbelievably, Joy has already won five Grammy Awards! She won the award for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2023 and again in 2025 for the same album. She also won Best Jazz Performance twice (in 2024 and again in 2025), as well as a NAACP Image Award. Did you know that she began singing jazz just five or six years before her Grammy wins? She used to sing gospel.
English drummer and composer Yussef Dayes with tracks like “Black Classical Music,” “Love Is the Message,” and “What Kinda Music.” Find out more about his latest album, Black Classical Music, which came out in 2023. The album won the Best Album Ivor Novello Award in 2024. Dayes has also been nominated twice for a Brit Award. Did you know that he got his first drum kit when he was just four years old? He was already studying with legendary drummer Billy Cobham when he was ten!
Jazz pianist and producer Robert Glaspe. Enjoy hits like "Afro Blue", "Let It Ride", and "Born Again". Check out his latest album, Black Radio III, which dropped in 2022. Glasper has won five Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album for Black Radio in 2012 and Black Radio III in 2023. He also received an Emmy Award. The album Black Radio was the first to be ranked on the top 10 of four different Billboard charts for different genres.
Kokoroko is a seven-piece band from London with songs like "Abusey Junction", "Carry Me Home", and "Baba Ayoola".
The Hollywood Bowl is located at 2301 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90068, in the Hollywood Hills area, close to U.S. Route 101. This unique outdoor amphitheater was built in 1922 and has a famous band shell. Every summer night, it features some of the world's best musicians and performers. Look forward to a range of ticket options for the event: Box Seats include canvas-covered collapsible chairs in groups of four or six. Super Seats have seats with a stadium look and other amenities like cup holders. Bench Seats feature wooden benches with cushions that can be rented if you like a more casual seating arrangement. This community-supported venue is run by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Society and eco-friendly to boot.
If you need to park your car, on-site parking is available in lots A through D, please note that parking lots are stack and thus limited. Don’t forget that you can also use a Park & Ride and Bowl Shuttle system for smooth access to the venue. If you need to drop off passengers, there is a drop-off spot at a hub in Lot C. If you cannot find a spot to park your car nearby, bear in mind that there is ample parking lot space in the Los Angeles area.
