Celebrating Gustavo at the Bowl takes place at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, August 23rd 2016. Gustavo Dudamel

Gustavo Dudamel is currently Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He is known for his fresh and new interpretations of the symphonic repertoire, as well as his passionate advocacy for the music of Latin America. This celebration will feature music from Dudamel's work with the LA Phil, including his recent and ongoing recording project of all 9 of Mahler's symphonies. Dudamel became the youngest music director of a leading American orchestra when he took the helm of the LA Phil at the age of 28, and has since received numerous awards and accolades, including multiple Grammy Awards and the prestigious Leonard Bernstein Award. He is currently considered to be one of the most influential musicians in the world today.

Hollywood Bowl Overview

The Hollywood Bowl is an outdoor amphitheater at 2301 North Highland Avenue in Los Angeles, CA. There will be great sound and a beautiful open-air setting at this concert. Transportation Information

There are many ways to arrive at the Hollywood Bowl with a car. The Bowl has a huge parking field that is very organized and is always staffed. Even though the field is packed as tightly as possible, it is a good idea to arrive early at the Bowl in order to grab a parking space. If the Bowl's own field is full, there are many other parking lots in the Los Angeles area that are within walking distance to the Bowl.
