What to expect from an event at the Hollywood Bowl

When attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl, you’ll be sure to make memories that last a lifetime! The combination of natural, outdoor charm with top-tier performances and varied entertainment makes the venue a unique option that can be enjoyed by everyone 

Given its popularity, expect large crowds at the Hollywood Bowl during events. It isn’t quite as large as other venues – with a capacity of less than 18,000 – but it still has the potential to be packed during a busy event. 

The security lines at the Hollywood Bowl can get quite long, as security will need to thoroughly search your belongings before you will be allowed to enter. The search can take a bit of time, so we advise arriving at least half an hour before the event begins to give yourself ample time to get through the detector line.

Due to the Hollywood Bowl being an outdoor venue, prepare for any weather or temperature changes. If the weather is hot, dress to stay cool but keep it appropriate! When the weather is cold, wrap up warm, especially in the evenings when it can become particularly chilly.
